The National Defence Course (NDC) at the Bangladesh National Defence College is designed to prepare selected senior officers from the armed forces, civil services, and armed forces of allied countries for higher responsibilities in national security and development. The course aims to enhance participants' knowledge of national and international security and development issues, reinforce their understanding of Bangladesh's institutions and society, and develop their strategic vision and leadership skills. Also visiting the similar institutions of developed and developing countries to have a holistic understanding of emerging security and development challenges in the context of globalization. Over 47 weeks, the course covers various aspects of security, strategy, diplomacy and development, including research methodology and individual research papers.
